The first day of nordBEC 2011 has started. Trondheim is hosting the competition; a beautiful city with a wonderful university is being prepared to receive the teams from the whole Scandinavia. The weather is a bit cold and rainy.

Today was the arrival day of the teams from the local rounds around Scandinavia. The accommodation was prepared and well equipped. It is a football club which has two big rooms. The competition place, the building of natural science at NTNU, is just close by the accommodation place. Most of the students have arrived, they have played get to know games tonight to introduce themselves, telling which universities and countries they were from. Quite a nice diversity we have here; the nationalities cover all kinds of people, from North Europeans to south Europeans, from Central American to Indian and Chinese.

The opening ceremony is going to be tomorrow and nordBEC 2011 will be officially started. The teams will right after the ceremony dig down and use their great creativity in the very first Team Design and Case Study tasks of nordBEC 2011! Follow us in the exciting competitions!
